Acupuncture
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) views the body as an intricate system
of organs connected by pathways known as meridians. Good health depends
upon the smooth flow of energy (Qi), through these meridians. When the
flow of Qi is blocked or disrupted, pain and illness are the result. Acupuncture
restores the smooth flow of Qi by inserting fine, hair-like needles at
specific points along the meridians. As the flow of Qi & blood returns
to normal, health and well-being are restored.
Herbs
For thousands of years, Traditional Chinese Medical practitioners have
used herbs with medicinal properties for healing. Western Pharmacology
is now beginning to acknowledge these natural counterparts without the
side effects of processed pharmaceuticals. In TCM, herbs are almost always
prescribed in conjunction with acupuncture and other treatments. They
are extremely effective in unblocking the flow of Qi and fortifying the
internal organs. Herbal formulas are specifically designed for the individual
needs of the patient.
